02Z M 18 Apr 11 Forecast Discussion

The present wind event is almost over, and a major, if maybe short-term change is in the offing. There will probably be a few breezy periods from the west tonight, but a cold front is likely to slide in from the north over the plains late tonight or during the morning tomorrow, along with an increase in clouds and the possibility of rain or rain changing over to snow tomorrow night into Tu.

The next possibility of synoptically-induced west-component winds looks to be late Wednesday into Friday morning. At this juncture, this possibility, if it develops at all, looks to be weaker in strength than what we just experienced the past several days. Preceeding it, there may be a Denver Cyclone developing by Wednesday morning.

Unless requested to do sooner, or unless I see a notable change to this scenario, my next update will be Tuesday,
probably late afternoon or early evening.
