NWTC observations

Yesterday's upgrades on the 135 m meteorological tower bought some great improvements. We are now getting data at a solid 20 Hz, and the instrumentation look to be behaving well. I've spent some time today trying to get an overview of the data and I'm pretty pleased, so far. Once I am a bit more certain about data quality I will post some info here.

As far as conditions on site are concerned, winds are slowly picking up but remain gusty. They've swung slowly to the WNW over the last two-and-a-half hours, say since 10:00 local. Details are in the plot below.

  1. Great news, Andy! Congratulations to you and to Dave J. for resolving the issues with the sonics. We're really excited about this datastream.
