20z 10 May 2011 Forecast Discussion
Today's SE winds should back to become northerly tonight as southern end of the major western US trough makes it's way east and then northeast, inducing surface cyclogenesis eastern NM and southeast CO. Pcpn (probably mostly snow on the flats) is expected to begin late tonight and end by late afternoon tomorrow, Wednesday. Following that, as the surface low moves east and northeast, surface winds on the flats are likely to back into the NW or WNW, and increase. So, it looks as if there might be another promising observing period setting up for Thursday evening and overnight, possibly continuing into Friday.
